Jessica Golding is a certified health coach with certification from Villanova University.

After having a baby, she struggled to lose the last 10 pounds for 6 years. She had inflammation and wasn’t sleeping well, taking medicine every 4-6 hours to sleep. She describes herself as “the girl who exercised for an hour and a half 5-6 days but couldn’t feel good or lose the weight.” Then she found the “W.A.I.T.” and “B.L.A.S.T.” methodology and it changed everything for her.

For the person who wants to lose say 20-100 pounds, your story of struggling to lose 10 pounds for 6 years may not get their attention, but having been in the weight loss field for 8 years now, I realize it can be as hard for many people to lose the last 10 pounds as it was to lose the first 50. Talk about that struggle.
“It’s not just about the physical aspects. I am creating a lifestyle where I can live in peace and confidence.”
“Having a healthy mind is a big part of losing weight! We need to change the way we think about food and understand what our triggers are.”

Tips on how to mentally be clearer using the acronym B.L.A.S.T. and W.A.I.T.
* W.A.I.T. = What Am I Thinking?

* B.L.A.S.T. = Bored, Lonely, Angry, Stressed, Tired!

It’s important to realize that we all are going to feel this way at some point. If you prepare correctly, you can replace this compulsive eating with something better!

“Lifelong transformation through one healthy habit at a time!”

*Write a list of things that distract you in a good way.  This list, you will use to replace your unhealthy habits with.

Could include: Drink 15 ounces of water, jam out to your fave song, do a chore, read an uplifting thought, play an instrument, read an article, play a game, go for a walk…check the mail, think of three things you are grateful for, etc.

Healthier thinking-replace it with something better. Don’t just say I can’t have it because you can, you can eat anything you want right?!
