FDA-Approved Best Fat Burner in the US Market

You might feel like there are so many fat burners in the U.S. market that you do not know which one to pick. We don’t blame you. Burning fat can be hard enough without the added pressure of choosing the right supplements.

That’s why we took a comprehensive look at all of your options so that you can choose the right one.

If you are just starting your weight loss journey and do not know when to take fat burners or if they are safe then look no further. Even if you have been taking them for a while but are ready for a switch, we laid it all out for you so that you can find the best fat burner out there.

What Makes the Best Fat Burner?

Whether you are in the market for a belly fat burner if your stubborn tummy fat just will not go away or you are looking to build lean muscle, you’ve come to the right place.

Naturally, you are probably wondering what makes a supplement the best of the best.

First of all, you want to find one that is made up of natural ingredients that boost your metabolism, target and burn fat cells and give you more energy. Since sometimes dieting and routine exercise simply do not do the trick, you need a quality supplement that will address all of your concerns, not just part of the problem.

The ingredients matter. The best fat burner is made up of scientifically-based, well-researched ingredients. It is definitely hard to find something that works for you when there are so many companies popping up with the trendiest and newest solutions.

Dosages matter, too. Every person is different. You are different. So you want to be sure that the recommended dosages are catered to you, your needs and your body type.

Listen to other people’s real-life experiences with all of the various fat burners. Whether that is from reading an online forum or looking into other customer’s reviews, your best bet is getting advice from the people who use the supplement you are interested in.

Almost everyone, like yourself, is invested in what they put into their bodies. Many professional athletes, bodybuilders and even everyday gym-goers are particular about what they consume. This is especially true when their supplement is supposed to help them attain a specific goal. Feedback from these people is key to understanding the effects that a fat-burning supplement has on their bodies.

You should also consider the value of each fat burner that you are considering. There are plenty of them for sale and equally as many that have sky-high prices. But you really want to make sure that the prices are equivalent to the quality of the product that you buy.

You may be in the market for the best fat burners for women. Maybe you are on the hunt for some fat burners for men. But taking into account these qualities will ensure that you pick out the best one for your lifestyle.

When Should You Take Fat Burners?

Like we mentioned before, a clean diet and regular exercise still sometimes do not give you the results you are looking for.

Weight loss can be stressful and daunting. But with the right supplement, you could find the results you have been striving towards.

Additionally, maybe you have a physique competition coming up and you are just not in the tip-top shape that you want to be.

It can sometimes even feel impossible to maintain your goal weight. It does not have to be if you find the right fat burner. Not only can the right choice ensure that your weight is feasible, but it can give you more energy and a more positive outlook on your weight loss journey.

Generally speaking, you can take fat-burning supplements at almost any time of the day. There are nighttime fat burners that you can take before you go to sleep, particular ones to take right before a workout and ones that you can take right when you wake up.

In fact, some of the easiest fat burners to find can be purchased right in your everyday grocery store to incorporate into your regular meals.

Healthy Foods That Help You Burn Fat

Healthy Foods That Help You Burn Fat

Using healthy foods to help you burn fat can be a great choice for anyone. This method may be more favorable to you if you have never taken supplements before and are nervous about how they might affect you.

The good news is that a lot of healthy foods have great weight-loss benefits.

These natural fat burners can also be a great addition to fat-burning supplements if you are taking or want to take those supplements.

Virgin Coconut Oil

Not only does virgin coconut oil increase your good type of cholesterol, it could also naturally aid you in losing weight.

The healthy fats in virgin coconut oil might work as an appetite suppressant, too.

You can add one to two tablespoons to whatever you are cooking or take it by itself to help burn fat.

Green Tea

There are a ton of supplements out there that list green tea as an ingredient. But if you love the taste or the way it makes you feel, you can consume green tea by itself for added health benefits and to help with weight loss.

With caffeine to keep you alert and plenty of natural components that could have incredible effects on protecting against health risks, green tea can also be an all-around healthy drink choice. It is also suggested that green tea burns extra calories.

Whey Protein

Another popular ingredient in supplements and workout drink mixes, experts generally agree that whey protein could support the growth of muscle mass and work as an appetite suppressant by giving you that “full” feeling.

Across the board, whey protein can help you achieve your goals at any stage in your weight-loss journey through boosting metabolism and burning fat.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has been used throughout history to potentially burn belly fat, reduce appetite and decrease blood sugar levels.

Consistently consuming one to two tablespoons of ACV a day mixed into the water could leave you with increased weight loss results and a suppressed appetite.

Fatty Fish

Hearing the word “fatty” when you are trying to burn fat can be confusing.

Not only is fatty fish yummy, however. Its omega-3 fatty acids could promote heart health and boost fat burning.

Eating oily fish on its own or taking fish oil supplements adds protein to your diet and has the potential to suppress appetite and drop stubborn body fat.

MCT Oil

MCTs are medium-chain triglycerides. They are a specific kind of fat that breaks down quickly to be used as natural energy.

Multiple studies have shown signs of an increased metabolism after consuming one to two tablespoons of MCT a day.

They have also been known to help retain muscle mass, lose weight and keep your cravings at bay.

Coffee

Coffee

You probably already drink coffee in the morning. But did you know that it can work as a natural fat burner, too?

A ton of supplements also have caffeine in them, but if you already love coffee, this might be the most delicious option.

Especially when drunk before working out, coffee potentially increases metabolism, keeps your stamina up while exercising and burns more extra calories and fat than you might burn without coffee.

The amount of caffeine in one to four cups a day can give you that extra boost you may have been looking for.

Eggs

Another heart-healthy option, consuming both the whites and yolks of eggs is backed by a bunch of studies as one of the best appetite suppressants, especially for overweight people.

They have the potential to increase metabolism through healthy proteins and burn body fat and calories just by eating about three eggs a week.

5 Fat Burners Approved by the FDA in the US Market

We are sure that you really care about what you put into your body, especially since you are looking to burn fat and live a healthy lifestyle.

So of course you want to make sure that whatever fat burners you are ingesting are approved by the FDA so that you can stay in the best health possible.

Let’s take a look at the characteristics of five of these FDA-approved fat burners and their pros and cons:

1. Orlistat (Xenical, Alli)

Orlistat is the active ingredient for Xenical, a weight-loss medication. Xenical is 120 milligrams and requires a prescription. Alli is also an Orlistat medicine but is a 60-milligram over-the-counter version.

Both Xenical and Alli are part of a regimen including a healthy, reduced diet and consistent exercise. They also are both for adults 18 plus.

While Alli is allowed for adults with a BMI of 25 plus, Xenical is only for those with a BMI of 27 to 29 if they have health risks and a BMI of 30 across the board.

There are many caveats to taking Orlistat. Generally speaking, though, there are a good amount of cons. The pros are pretty standard.

The advantage to taking either Xenical or Alli is that due to the active ingredient lowering the amount of dietary fat that goes to your intestines, it has been proven effective in weight loss.

A study showed that over 40 percent who took Alli for a year lost at least 5 percent of their body weight when combined with dieting and working out. This met the criteria for “clinically meaningful weight loss.”

Also, in 2010 there were a small number of cases of severe liver injury related to the drug. The FDA conducted a report but could not find direct evidence that Orlistat was responsible.

However, the cons include several gastrointestinal side effects and the fact that Orlistat-related weight loss is not very significant.

2. Phentermine-topiramate (Qsymia)

Qsymia is a prescription weight loss medication for adults. It combines phentermine and topiramate. Together, the two drugs that makeup Qsymia act as fat-burning pills.

Like other weight-loss medicines, Qsymia is supposed to be taken with diet and exercise.

But does it work? The reviews overwhelmingly say yes.

There are some cons, though. Since there is no generic version, Qsymia is expensive and not readily available at regular pharmacies. It can also be habit-forming.

3. Naltrexone-bupropion (Contrave)

The combination of naltrexone and bupropion make Contrave an appetite suppressant and weight loss medication. Combined with diet and exercise, it is supposed to be successful in fat burning.

The reviews are mixed, though. Some report negative side effects, while others say that it is the most effective fat ripper they have ever taken.

The side effects are probably the biggest disadvantage to Contrave. There are risks of seizures, risks of an opioid overdose since naltrexone is an opioid blocker, risks of nausea and vomiting and more.

Liraglutide (Saxenda)4. Liraglutide (Saxenda)

Instead of a fat-burning pill, Saxenda is an injection to be combined with diet and exercise.

Additionally, Saxenda can be used in children, which is often hard to find in weight loss medication. It is supposed to replicate a naturally occurring hormone, which may be a more natural option if you are trying to lose weight or fat.

This hormone makes you feel full so that you lose weight a little bit more easily.

Saxenda also might help diabetics to lower blood sugar. In a study, a whopping 60 percent of people lost at least 5 percent of their body weight.

Since it is only available as an injection, this would be a huge con if you do not feel comfortable with needles. It also can be expensive since it is not available generically and the side effects could be unpleasant.

5. Semaglutide (Wegovy)

Wegovy is another injection that mimics a naturally occurring hormone already in your body. It is supposed to be helpful in weight management and initial weight loss.

It also has many potential side effects and would not be ideal for those who do not want to inject themselves once a week.

Are All Natural Fat Burners Safe?

As with all things that you put into your body, natural fat burners can be unsafe if taken too often or in the wrong amounts.

For instance, caffeine can be an effective way to burn fat, like we talked about before. But too much caffeine can give you that jittery, anxious feeling that you probably do not want. Also, using the incorrect amount of protein powder, like whey, can actually cause you to gain weight instead.

Too many fat-burning supplements can also give you liver problems, even leading to liver failure. High blood pressure can be a risk, too.

Whatever route you choose to take, however, is up to you. You know your body. Whether you are looking for the best appetite suppressant on the market or an all-around healthier lifestyle, you need to make sure that you are looking for a product that is specifically catered to you.
