Lose Weight While Eating Only DELICIOUS Foods

It’s ABSOLUTELY possible to lose weight eating delicious foods. Here’s how.

Why Most Diets Fail

Have you ever wondered why most diets don’t work? Shockingly, upwards of 80% of people who go on a diet manage to lose weight, only to regain it shortly after. This cycle can be frustrating and disheartening, but there’s a key reason behind it – traditional diets are not designed for long-term success.

The Problem with Traditional Diets

Traditional diets often require drastic changes from your normal eating habits. Once the diet ends, we tend to revert back to our old ways, leading to weight gain. These diets are outcome-based, focusing on the end goal rather than helping you develop sustainable eating habits.

  • Unsustainable Practices: Many diets involve consuming special foods or shakes which are not part of our regular eating habits. Ask yourself, will you still be eating or drinking these diet foods in 10 years? If the answer is no, then the diet is unlikely to work in the long term.
  • Lack of Enjoyment: Many of these special foods or shakes are not even delicious. So, essentially, you’re spending too much money on nutrition and eating food you don’t really like.

A New Approach to Dieting

Instead of following a restrictive diet that’s not enjoyable or sustainable, I advocate for a different approach. Find delicious carbs, fats, and proteins that you love and eat them in the right ratios and the right amounts. Yes, you’ll need to make some small sacrifices, but they won’t involve giving up food or drinks you love.

By finding a balance of delicious and nutritious foods you love, you can create a diet plan that you’ll happily stick to in the long run.

The Root Cause of Weight Gain

Most people’s diets consist of too many unhealthy carbs, not enough good proteins, and an excess of unhealthy fats. This imbalance is a significant nutritional cause for weight gain. Interestingly, most weight gain occurs during winter in North America and other first-world countries.

A common pattern emerges where individuals, who were fit and at their ideal body weight until about 20, gain approximately two pounds annually, mostly during winter, resulting in being around 40 pounds overweight by the age of 40.

Overcoming the Weight Gain Cycle

Our mission here at Dirobi is simple – to combat this cycle. We aim to return to the healthier habits we once had and shed those extra pounds. The ‘Nine Perfect Meals’ concept is an excellent starting point because simplicity is key. Complex diets often lead to analysis paralysis, leaving us overwhelmed and inactive.

The idea is to simplify our meals based on:

  • Healthy carbs we enjoy
  • Proteins we love
  • Fats that we find tasty

Aim for two to three meals a day with:

  • Protein the size of your palm
  • Starchy carbs the size of your closed fist
  • A side of low-calorie vegetables

Personalizing Your Diet

The key is to be intentional about each food type, ensuring it’s something you love. For instance, I’m not a salad person. I prefer roasted vegetables. They’re delicious, easy to reheat, and a great way to enjoy my veggies instead of forcing down a salad. There is no “rule” that I have to eat salad.

I can get my five to nine servings of veggies per day in a way that I enjoy then, thank you very much!

Ask yourself, what’s your favorite way to consume vegetables? Maybe you love vegetable soups, canned veggies etc.

Another hack I use it having a greens powder daily. It has over 50 ingredients, including wheatgrass, barley, spirulina, mushrooms, dandelion extract, chlorella, acai, goji, beet root… and the list goes on. There’s no way I can get all of those ingredients from my own fridge. So, a delicious, convenient drink is an excellent way to round out my veggie intake.

By the way, the drink I like best is called Greens & Reds Superfood, you can find it here. I count it as 3 servings of fruits and veggies because it’s so potent.

When it comes to proteins, my preference is beef – grass-fed and finished. I recently got a 50 pound package, along with a bag of bones for my dog, for $276. That’s a little over $5 a pound for everything from roasts to ground beef – a lot of healthy protein at a reasonable price.

But that’s me. What’s YOUR favorite protein source or sources? Decide, find a great place to buy them, and make sure you always have them on hand.

And as with veggies, using protein powders is a great way to ensure you get enough. I don’t like bulky powders with lots of filler so I use a medical grade, unflavored one personally.

Finding Your Food Preferences

The idea is to find what you genuinely enjoy in terms of carbs, fats, and proteins, and build your meals around them. Adopting this approach can help you break the weight gain cycle and lead a healthier lifestyle.

The Importance of Starchy Vegetables

Starchy vegetables are an essential part of our meals, providing us with much-needed energy. My personal favorites include bananas, avocados, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and rice. Keeping these staples in the house ensures a healthy diet. For instance, I often indulge in rice daily, thanks to the convenience of microwavable sticky rice containers available on Amazon.

Balancing Your Plate

After portioning your plate with a protein and a starchy vegetable you love, add some low-calorie veggies to the mix. Aim for five to nine servings of vegetables per day, dividing between starchy and low-calorie ones.

  • The Hand Rules: Protein should be about the size of your palm, starchy veggies no bigger than your closed fist, and low-calorie veggies can be plentiful.
  • Portion Control: If you’re having two potatoes a meal, that’s too much. Stick to one and supplement with your preferred low-calorie veggies to reach the recommended daily intake.

Accelerating Weight Loss

If you’re aiming for weight loss, consider having just two meals per day, portioned as described. While it might seem like not enough food, remember that weight loss requires creating a caloric deficit. However, the trick is to eat slowly and mindfully… which matters more than you think.

  • Slow and Mindful Eating: By eating slowly, we allow our stomach’s ghrelin (the ‘hunger hormone’) to signal our brain that we’re full at the right time, preventing overeating and subsequent feelings of bloating.
  • Cut Back on Condiments: Reducing the use of condiments and sauces can help control calorie intake, aiding in weight loss.

Food, when cooked right and with love, is delicious in its natural state. However, we’ve developed a habit of smothering our meals in sauces and condiments, adding unnecessary calories to our diet. The key lies in flavoring our food minimally. By cutting back on excessive flavorings and enjoying the natural taste of our food, we can enhance our eating experience and cut back on empty calories.

  • Mindful Eating: Pay attention to the flavors of your food. Savor each bite and appreciate the natural taste.
  • Cutting Back: Gradually reduce the amount of sauces and condiments you use. You’ll find your palate adjusting and appreciating the natural flavors more.

The Dirobi Undiet: A Lifestyle Approach

Adopting good lifestyle habits can support healthy eating and accelerate weight loss. The Dirobi Undiet emphasizes these habits:

  • Supplements: Taking the right supplements can complement your diet and provide essential nutrients.
  • Stop Eating After Dinner: This helps control your calorie intake.
  • Prioritize Sleep: Good sleep is essential for overall health and weight management.
  • Daily Exercise: Even light exercise supports your new healthy eating habits and aids in weight loss.
Enjoying Your Meals

Each meal should be something you look forward to, not dread. If you don’t enjoy your meals, it’s unlikely you’ll stick to the diet long term.

  • No Deprivation: You don’t need to eliminate treats completely. Once you’ve lost the weight, you can add back a few treats a week.
  • Satiety: When you eat nutritious, tasty meals, you feel more satiated and less likely to overindulge in sweets or snacks.

These principles have worked for thousands of people since 2009. We’ve received numerous testimonials from individuals who have adopted this lifestyle, taken our supplements, and achieved their weight loss goals.
